Browsing Cadillac's Lineup of BMW Clones

Checked Cadillac's website after my rant. They've got CT4, CT5, and CT5-V—all look like BMW clones. Only the electric Lyriq looks like a real Cadillac.

Overview

After my previous rant about Cadillac abandoning their identity, some people suggested I check out Cadillac’s full sedan lineup. So I went to their website and looked at what they’re offering: CT4, CT5, and CT5-V series. They all look like BMW clones with turbos. The only one that actually looks like a Cadillac? The electric Lyriq—it has that land yacht vibe I’ve been asking for. Too bad it’s electric.

Key Moments

  • Responding to comments about Cadillac’s variety
  • Browsing the 2025 Cadillac sedan lineup
  • CT4, CT5, CT5-V series all look like BMW clones
  • The Lyriq electric vehicle actually looks like a proper Cadillac
  • Long, land yacht design—but it’s electric (not ideal)

Full Transcript (Edited)

Okay, so I recently uploaded a little short where I criticized Cadillac because I saw a blue Cadillac that looked exactly like a BMW M3. Some people replied saying that Cadillac has a wide variety of options available for us.

As you can see here, I went to the Cadillac website. I’m looking at the sedans, and they have the CT5-V series, the CT5, the CT5 from 2025—essentially they have a CT4, a CT5, and then this. This actually looks interesting. It’s electric, which is awful, but it’s looking more like a Cadillac, what I would expect: a nice long land yacht type of thing, versus these little BMW clones that just get a bunch of turbos.
