I bought a rusty IBM 5150 for $60

I picked up this rusty IBM 5150 for $60 on Craigslist and it came with a bonus floppy drive. The Computer Craft magazine sticker on the case instantly brought back memories of reading those same magazines as a kid. Inside, I found a Western Digital MFM controller, a massive 1985 video card loaded with discrete logic chips, and a 135-watt power supply. The first boot attempt didn’t work, but after turning it off and on again, I got beeps and a blinking cursor. Eventually it loads BASIC since there’s no bootable floppy in the drive.
