My Jeep Grand Cherokee fuel injector saga

My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7L V8 left me stranded on a bridge requiring a tow truck, so I decided to fix it once and for all. The scanner showed extreme fuel trim levels, and the computer had previously thrown codes about lean conditions. I suspected stuck or leaking fuel injectors causing the engine to compensate erratically. Following an excellent YouTube tutorial, I replaced all the fuel injectors and spark plugs. The driver’s side plugs were dark and smelled heavily of fuel, while the passenger side looked relatively clean, confirming uneven fuel delivery. I also found loose injector connectors with broken clips from previous work. After reassembly with new injectors from eBay and fresh Iridium plugs, the engine started smoothly and idled much better. However, it still choked above 1800 RPM on the test drive, suggesting I may have additional issues like fuel pump pressure to diagnose next.
